Upcoming Tastings – Tomorrow & Next Thursday

by Mark Patykewich on August 1, 2018

Hello from The Caviste,
I hope every one is having a good week and off to a good start for August.  Hard to believe but that must mean Fall is around the corner.  We’ve got two more great tastings lined up to help you explore the diverse and intriguing world of wine.  Plan on joining us for one or both.  Here are the details.

Tasting Tomorrow, August 2nd

Tomorrow, Damon Haynes is visiting the store and pouring an interesting, diverse and tasty selection of wines from their portfolio allowing us to taste wines from the US, Italy, France and Spain.  These are some delicious wines and give a great overview of the diversity in the portfolio Damon represents. We enjoy and appreciate the diversity of wines the world has to offer and a tasting like this allows us to find the different dinner time applications the wines have and which pairings might be best.  Plan on joining us tomorrow afternoon to explore these wines.

    Nanclares Albarino
    Alice Tajad “Rosado”
    Majas Cotes Catalanes Rose
    La Stoppa Trebiolo

Tasting Thursday, August 9th

Next week, with the help of Laurie Cole and wines from the Kermit Lynch portfolio we are going to explore some of the delicious offerings from the French region of Alsace.  This region is on the border of France and Germany and the wines are reflective of this location and the areas history.  This selection demonstrates the delicious range of whites coming from this region.  The wines are aromatic and provide delightful drinking in the fall.

    Meyer-Fonne Cremant
    Meyer-Fonne Edelzwicker
    Kuentz Bas Riesling
    Kuentz Bas Muscat
