This Week’s Tasting and Next Monday’s Meet and Greet

by Mark Patykewich on December 13, 2018

We have some great tasting lined up in the next couple of weeks.  This Friday we will explore some of the breadth in the wines world.  Damon Haynes will be here to pour wines from California, France, Spain and Italy.  A great little tasting to sample the variety available in the wine market today.  This coming Monday, Anne Jordan Benoit will be in the store with some Bordeaux wine and food to talk about her travel business there as well.  And next week, Jay Murrie will be in the store with some more Italian treats.  Details on each event follow.

Bordeaux and French Tour Presentation
December 17th – 4 to 6pm
One of the things we enjoy as much, maybe more, than sharing a nice glass of wine with friends is traveling in wine country, especially when guided by those in the know.  Anne Jordan Boinet is definitely just such a worthy guide, she has lived in Paris, Barcelona and now Bordeaux.  She is a trained chef and has not only a wonderful palate but a delightful personality as well. She is also the daughter of Kimrey Jordan, the former source of our Friday bread sales.
So join us on December 17th (yes, it is a Monday) from 4pm to 7 pm as we host Anne Jordan Boinet. With family in Winston-Salem, Anne has spent the last 15 years living and working in Europe.  She recently started a travel business in her home region of Bordeaux and will be in the store on December 17th to tell us more about trips future and past. We will have a selection of Bordeaux wines to taste and possibly even some delicious foods to go along with them.
RSVP needed so we know how many to plan for as we will have food and wine to sample while hearing more about Anne’s travel services, upcoming trips and insights into French travel and wine region exploration.
