wine1Houchart – Provence Rosé
It’s not just a pretty label, this is a delicious bottle of wine and the best selling rose in the store. Whatever quantity we are able to get this year will probably, like last year, move quickly.

Houchart – Cotes de Provence (France) From the sunny hillsides of Provence comes this delicious rosé made fromCabernet, Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah. Each year, its pale pink color wins over more followers to this spring and summertime treat. Crisp and refreshing like slightly frozen mountain strawberries with a sorbet of fresh herbs from the south of France. Provence in a bottle. It is perfect for parties large and small as the price is so reasonable. $14 a bottle.

wine 2Ameztoi – Rubentis
Now, to add a little bubble to your rosé season. This unique wine comes from the Basque region of Spain and has a spritzy nature making it a fine pairing to all sorts of salty treats and hot days.

This is not quite the “A to Z” of rose but it may be close with the indigenous grapes Hondarribi Beltza and Handarribi Zuri. These two grapes, one white and one red, combine with a little residual carbon to give this wine is slight spritz and delicious flavor. It has notes of ripe strawberries and red currant notes with a vibrancy that caresses the palate and invites lively conversation. More than one book club has enjoyed this bottle as an accompaniment to their discussions. Ameztoi Rubentis 2017 (Spain) $20.
