Burgundy for the Collector – Meursault

by Russ Anderson on September 10, 2015

1bThe Caviste just found out that some top wines from Burgundy are available from two top producers of Meursault. These wines are highly sought after and of very limited availability. The 2013 vintage was not the easiest for the producer but the end product has turned out very promising for the consumer. The vintage has some of the richness of 2009 but also some bright acidity, as in 2010, to balance the weight of the wine. These wines are definitely cellar candidates and will truly reward 3-4 years before opening. I know it’s tough but their currently youthful nature will give way to a more mature richness in that time. These are not cheap classics, Premier Crus wines never are, but I will lessen the bite a little by offering a 10% discount on these wines.

    2013 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Meursault 1er Cru Charmes – $130
    2013 Fancois Mikulski Meursault $78
2013 Fancois Mikulski Meursault 1er Cru Charmes $130
