Bastside Blanche Returns Wednesday

by Russ Anderson on May 25, 2014

bandolBandol rosé is known around the world for being some of the richest and tastiest rosé made. A perfect match for delicious mediteranean fare like aioli, bouilliabaise and other coastal treats. Or, as often happens at our house, just a glass on the back deck to wind down after a long work day.

The Bastide Blanche was one of last years favorite rosés and is arriving back in the store Wednesday. The wine is a bright orange-pink with mineral accented aromas of strawberry, nectarine, red grapefruit and a deliciously enticing touch of Provencal herbs. Months from now, as Fall fades to Wines, this delicious wine becomes a “winter white” for us.

For those who know the wine and would like to stock up, I wanted to offer some special pricing from now through the rosé tasting. So, 6 to 11 bottles will be discounted 10%, a case or more will be discounted 15%. As with many of my smaller production wines, this one will last “as long as it does” which will not be all year.
